The Purpan-Ancely area stores important vestiges from the Roman era.
A provincial town or rural sanctuary was set up here at the confluence of the Touch and the Garonne two-thousand years ago.
Two monuments testify to its existence. A pool (natatio) kept in a building in the town of Ancely.  An amphitheater constructed with a particular technique.
To learn about these two structures, guided tours are available.
